Does anybody else have this problem on a Win10 computer?

You’re working on stuff but it’s nightfall so you put the computer on sleep mode; come morning when you wake it up you found that it’s instead shut itself off after installing updates and all your tabs are gone. I’ve gone through all the settings to see if I can change this and can’t find any relevant options. I’ve also searched Google and found bupkis.

Also TIL ‘bupkis’ is derived from Yiddish for goat’s droppings.

Tabs in Edge? Or Windows in general? Because Windows in general probably auto saves any progress, depending on the program. And there is probably a hotkey in Edge for restore recent tabs, similar to Chrome.

The real solution is to take the reigns and turn off auto-update.

Actually yeah I have.

I just assumed it was since my laptop was shitty, but maybe not.

Is it worth the free upgrade currently offered for users of windows 8? I fucking hate windows 8. I imagine it has to be better.

Go to windows update and select advanced then ‘schedule a restart‘. That worked for me, they download then it puts up a dialog box where you can select restart now or enter a different date/time.
