I lean slightly more toward the Poncho side. I think the ‘57 Safari is more polished and have to give it the nod, but there are some things I like on the ‘56 too.

If the ‘57 had the chrome hood strips, the headlight “eyebrows” and a sharper-bend version of the grooved chrome fin tip and rear lights from the ‘56, it might be just about perfect to me. I like the elements slightly more there, but they’re more bulbous and ungainly in *shape*.
