I just bought a 1964 Puch MC60 (badged as a Sears Cheyenne 60) out of a barn. For $180, I couldn’t say no. Currently it is in my bedroom; I’m hoping to try to start it this weekend when I finish electrolytic conversion on the tank. Pro tip: if you want to get looks in your car, just strap a motorcycle to the roof of a Saab.

I love Puchs and I love 2-strokes.

I endorse this decision. If you’d like to buy more, just let me know what area you are in and I’ll post all the cheap, cool project bikes on craigslist for you to try to resist...

“Currently it is in my bedroom”

This is a watershed #TwoWheelsGood moment.

Tell me you’ve got a picture of it strapped to the roof.

I could have sworn I took a picture of it but apparently I didn’t. I feel stupid now; that old bike on its side atop two small foam pads ratcheted to the roof like a Christmas tree was quite a sight.

A man on a Harley came up behind me on the freeway and shook his head in disapproval. That is when I knew I had made some good decisions.

and I had figured it upright, ratcheted in place with tires on the roof and trunklid.
