I’m pretty sure that German gears are most infamous for having the most inconvenient one to be made of plastic and breaking/sheering.

HFV6 refers to the high-feature V6 which is the name for the engine family of current DOHC GM V6s. It debuted in 2004 in the CTS.
Most common in North America is thr 3.6l unit, used in many modern GM products. Several of those are now direct injected.
