In one corner we have a nice porsche cayman a still modern car that drive impeccably and is approaching the bottom of it’s depreciation curve. It is quick comfortable and usable every day and is a real porsche but subject to coulda had a 911 syndrome. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

In the other corner we have a old skool classic porsche 356 speedster replica. It is beautiful unique and brings tons of attention. However it is crude slower and not an everyday car. Additionally you will be forced to respond to haters saying it’s a beetle in a bikini unless those posers drive a cobra then you can tell them to gtfo. The upsides are more striking than the cayman and likely very easy to work on. Also these are already appreciating.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Ones fake one real. Ones fast ones ones slow. Ones a classic the other a basic porsche. I know what id go with and it’s probably not what you think

I’d take the speedster, especially if it is a replica, and DD the shit out of it... in MN.

I’d rather have a beetle than a 356 replica.

For me, it’s the 356 100%. For me, living in a rural area, the Boxster is a head-turning car that everyone will look at and go “oh a Porsche, you must make a lot of money” or they will be even worse haters and say “oh just a boxster.” Whereas the 356 at least you get people saying “holy shit that’s cool” without necessarily knowing a) it’s not a real 356 or b) how much a real 356 would actually cost. They wouldn’t even get around to the “wow you must be rich” part, it’s so nice looking and unusual. For the ones who would say “wow that must be worth a million dollars” you can just say “nah, it’s a replica.”

But then, I am very sesnsitive to showing off wealth, maybe it’s me, maybe it’s this area... anyway gimme the 356.

Agree on all fronts. driving in my dads 65 vette everyone loves it, thumbs up all the time, tons of positive attention. I feel like if he had a new corvette it would be the opposite. prejudiced for being a rich person or a crazy driver or asking to race etc. people just love old cars and don’t see them as money objects like they do a new expensive car. this 356 looks beautiful and its crazy a car that nice can be had for so cheap
