So of course I attended! There’s never any autocrosses near me so when I heard about the local PCA club hosting on at the airport, I had to attend. It also gave me a really good chance to explore to limits of my BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S all-seasons. I must say, I came away mighty impressed with them.
Six runs later, they still look great!
That was my fastest recorded run of the day. It had just started raining, yet I somehow went faster while it was doing so.
Total finish was 9th out of 26 non-Porsche’s and 2nd fastest out of the Mini’s. The guy who beat me had more power and better tires, so I’ll blame it on that, haha. I had a ton of fun, though, and walked away still grinning ear-to-ear.
Of course, I am more aware than ever that I REALLY need a limited-slip differential. Camber plates and a rear sway bar probably would hurt either, lol. Oh- and tires that actually meant to be autocrossed. That might help too.
