Anyone live in or near New York? I live on Long Island and in the spring I’ll be looking for something cheap that’s dedicated for the track. But I don’t know of many tracks near me. I know New Jersey Motor Park has track days but I haven’t looked into it too much. I know Lime Rock is in Connecticut but by looking at their website it seems like it's not beginner friendly. Anyone know of any track days or time trials in or near New York?

Pocono is about the same distance from you as LRP, I think.

Local tracks: NJMP, Lime Rock, New York Safety Track (a little further), Thompson Speedway (a little further), Palmer Motorsports Park (a little further), and Pocono.

NJMP is probably the closest major track to you, but you can probably find some other small ones. Watkins Glen is also in NY, albeit a little further.

I don't have anything yet. In the spring I will start looking. Something cheap manual and RWD

I’ve been seriously looking at F5 and FV cars lately. Cheap, and way more performance per dollar.

May be an interesting direction for you to look for a track only car.

Any Nürburgring-esque “Touristenfahren” type things? That's what I'm curious ahout
