I love this car. Even for the street, I love the Senna-tribute decals, since they're both authentic and understated.

What a nice driver, eh? Spent 3 months in one and LOVED every minute. If indeed real, whenever you have a chance, drive it 70+ or whatever higher speed you feel comfortable and is safe for those around you, as the car REALLY shines in higher speeds. You’ll see...

Pretty easy to swich those wheels, if you have the cash. As these were pretty much standard on quite a few M-B cars in 15” as well as 16” diameters. So, your friendly M-B dismountler ought to have what you need.
Should you like to have some refurbished ones, there is a great wheel company in Chino, California called Original Wheels ( http://originalwheels.com/ ) which has many, many ORIGINAL issue wheels in stock plus an excellent selector by year and model, so you can find the proper offset. They also have caps. However, alloys use different bolts than what you have on your car presently. The correct bolts you may have to buy from a dealer, or other M-B parts source.
While at it, get clear turn signal lenses for your front, with an organge bulb. Those lenses make the front less cluttered. The front will look much cleaner, surely better.

Sorry, of course it’s real! Was/is your E30 M3? For they were contemporaries and competitors. Both arriving into the US as 55mph SPEED LIMIT was introduced. So, most people, if driving within the then new limit, NEVER EVER experienced how great those cars were as they both “lived” above 70mph... ENJOY yours! I am still looking for an Evo or EvoII but at some right price, not STUPID money. A friend in D-land has all the COOL stuff M-B has made, including the EVO II race car, which he races STILL !!!

Thanks for the info! The car came with clear turn lenses, but I switched to the orange. I think they look better IMHO.

I move into school up in Massachusetts on the fourth, and I’m going to write up a listing from up there and let my dad handle the physical transaction. If the car isn’t sold yet it might be around, but I won’t be.

Good news! I’ll be selling it (or at least listing it for sale) in the next couple weeks, and I currently have two sets of wheels. The EVO I wheels that are on it will likely sell with the car, but the OEM US-market Cosworth wheels will go up for sale if the buyer doesn’t work them into the deal. Wrapped in almost-new Toyo Proxxes R1s, too.

I’ve actually never had an E30 M3 (although my dad had one for a couple years, and I was fortunate enough to get plenty of seat time before the market on the cars blew out of control). The username is from four years ago when I was in a search for a first car, which my fourteen-year-old self had decided would be either a Cossie or an E30 chassis. I ended up missing out on what was probably the perfect Cosworth due to it being a bad time to make a purchase, and randonly ended up settling on an ex-SCCA Dodge Neon ACR. Long story short, I sold that and used the profits to buy a ‘91 Audi Coupe Quattro, sold that one and used the profits to buy a ‘98 M3 sedan, and this past winter traded the M3 for the Cosworth. I feel so lucky, the 190E Cossie has been a dream car for years, and I managed to work my way up to one before college.
Unfortunately, I move into school for my freshman year on Friday, and a german sport-sedan will be both unnecessary and impractical. I’ll be writing up a listing soon.
I often compare this car to the M3 I traded for it, as unfair as it may seem. While the M3 pulled like a train all the wag through the rev range until whatever speed you may have decided to lift, I prefer the drama of the Benz. Waiting for the car to climb onto the cam, hearing the great raspy exhaust screaming and feeling the light little car start to skate across the ground. Ripping that infamous dogleg into the next gear. Hearing the relentless backfires and pops on the overrun. I’m going to miss this car a lot.
The previous owner worked at Virginia International Raceway as an instructor, so the car has some light mods. Bilsteins with lowering springs front and rear (no more bags), camber plates, deresonated and decatted exhaust, EVO I wheels, stoptech rotors with EBC Red Stuff Pads...nothing too crazy, all just stuff to make the car that much more fun on a backroad!

And let your friend know that if in 20-30 years, assuming I can afford it (definitely not) I’d be happy to take that evo off of his hands...

Personally, I would keep it. Not easy to, but I wouldnt let go of it, let your dad drive it on occasion, but keep it. Its just too unique.

School will be expensive, so the fact that its a good bit of cash towards books and tuition and I’ll no longer have any operating costs means its time to go
