It’s nice to see some Tahoe love. Most people think it’s kind of the turd of the fleet, but I absolutely love that truck. You wouldn’t believe the beat downs I’ve laid on that truck, and it’s come through it all.

I irrationally love GMT400 Tahoes. Maybe it’s because my dad had one, I dunno. I’d love one as a beater because like you said, they take whatever you throw at them and just keep ticking.

I’m the same. It’s right in that sweet spot where it has all the modern amenities you want, but it’s not so computerized that you can’t fix 95% of problems yourself. Perfect for an expedition rig.

Pretty sure that’s what turned me into such a car nerd. Before the Porsche was mine it was my dad’s. He bought it whwhen it was just a year old and DDed it all through my youth.

Now that’s truly awesome. I hope one of your kids is interested in it! This fateful ride I went on was in the late 1990s, and the guy (a friend’s father) sold the 911 a few months later. He bought a Buell chopper with the money... I was very sad. And even then I knew he was an idiot.

Yeah they had an aftermarket kit some people did. Mine’s factory. It’s super rare. My Porsche dealer buddy told me there are probably only a couple dozen in the US.
