They range from about $30 to $80 for the challenger, but I wonder if there is a reasonable difference between a $30 sunshade and an $80 sunshade.
Quality, wear and tear, insulation, etc.

Protect the interior, especially black interior, from the heat on bright/hot days.

Cool. I’ve always seen them, but never knew. Will it actually keep the heat down inside noticeably, or is it just for sun exposure?

It might tone down the heat a bit on the dash and wheel, but the sun can still enter through the windows. I've rarely used one, so I'll just see how well it works.

I bought one off amazon sized for my Jetta, it looks like the one in the picture and does a good job keeping direct sun off the dash and front seats, and yes I do have the black interior.
Edit: it was in the $30 range.

I use one a lot. With that and the tinted windows the heat stays out a lot more than it would

I bought one for my civic from Honda. Got a discount because of family in parts department, but I think it would have been about $70 or $80. Fits like a glove. Had it for 5 years or so, use it occasionally. Absolutely no problems. Still looks new. On the other hand, my dad has a cheapo for his pickup that looks like shit, but still does the job.
The price difference just boils down to fit and finish in my experience. They should all work the same.
By the way, all the ones in my family are the metallic kind. No experience with any other finish.

If you have the money, get one that is custom fit for your windshield. Using the generic ones is always a pain because you are constantly adjusting it to make stay and block at the sun correctly.
It can be a nuisance, but it helps ALOT when the sun is fading towards the windshield. I feel like it will definitely keep the interior in better shape if you use it consistently for a few years.

I always use a Covercraft UVS100 shades like this one from Google. About $50, custom fit to your car and they feel high quality.

Can make a huge difference out here in the dry heat of the Southwest. If you have tinted windows, blocking off the only untinted window you have means the interior of your car is only 110 degrees F instead of 130 degrees.

In the hotter climates they are a must when you are parked out in the elements. The sun can do some serious interior damage over time. It definitely eases the pain of entering a hot vehicle.
