At my Mom’s work (Faurecia), they decided to throw a contest to see who could build the best BBQ Grill. Here are the contenders (not sure if only ones...I got the story from 2 text messages, so sue me):

The first one is from my Mom’s group. They had some fun with it and made something neat and creative.

This is the second (probably?) competitor. They took the most straightforward approach as possible...obvious that there isn’t much imagination in this group.

And here is the final competitor. They took an old truck and converted it into a grill. I don’t know if this was their personal car or anything...(2 texts remember?)

So what do you think? Which is your favorite?

I like the “boring” one because it is probably the best at being a grill.

Those are all very impressive! They’re all my favorite.

Well, that was an unexpected choice.

Fun fact: I’ve been to the Faurecia plant in Brampton, ON. I designed some tooling for one of their welding lines.

That's cool, did you get to look around the plant? I have been to so many different manufacturing facilities but find all of them so fascinating

It looks like it has a nice work space plus it has an umbrella.

Not much, only the line that we were working on. Hellcat exhausts for days....

We actually got one of the first prototypes to build our tooling around and got to keep it because it was essentially “scrap” for them. I think one of our guys cut it up and used it on his truck lol

I would definitely go with the second one. It looks way more usable than the other two.

How is the little semi not usable? It’s a smoker:
