Not much, but hey, still pretty cool/funny :)

First, a Rolls Royce Silver shadow 2. Produced between 1977 and 1980. Inside a 6750cc V8 engine producing... 200hp!!! Of course it comes with a 3 speed automatic gearbox. Not too sure what the 0 to 60mph looks like haha

Kinja'd!!!

Then comes the car of someone who most likely does not speak english very well... For the few of you who have no idea what this thing is, it’s a Daihatsu Coppen, a Japanese sport Kei-car that is unfortunatly FWD... If you’re on a phone and can’t read it says “Very cute ass” and “Big Fart! on the bumper. Under the passenger door there was a “Guest room” lettering too :)

Kinja'd!!!

I’ll try doing this more and more often, taking pictures of whatever I find on my way... Hope you guys enjoy it.

BTW, after a quick pre-emptive visit to a rotary tuner yesterday, my gas consumption went down from 9mpg if not caring or 14mpg while being sort of careful to 23.5mpg driving normally 80% freeway/20% city! And it’s far from over as there are still some tunning problem but he will need more time for it :)

You will see, it will be an economical car sooner than later! :)

lol, it’s adequate if you’re James May... Considering how heavy that thing is coupled with the 3 speed auto it must be insanely slow!!

Sweet Nissan R’nessa . A small number (about 200) of these made it to the US in electic form as the Altra.

Never paid attention to this and had no idea what this thing was until now :)

I tend to be very selective as to what cars I even just look at... The knowledge some of you guys have when it comes to cars in general, all types even those I don’t bother looking at, is trulyimpressive!

My dad used to have one of those, a 1980 one. It felt fairly quick for something with supposedly only 200HP. 0-60 was somewhere in the high 7’s. They also have a really tight turning circle for something that huge and landyacht-ish.

Nah, it may have felt somewhat fast at the time but it's Geo Metro kind of fast lol... According to 0 to 60, a 1979 Silver Shadow 2 did it in 11.2s. The 1980 version had the same engine.

We timed it and usually got 7.8 or 7.7 although when he got it the previous owner had the engine rebuilt (thankfully) and a new exhaust put on so it was probably making more power than stock.

A LOT more then because for a 200hp Rolls to go from 11.2s to 7.8s, it probably needs 100 to 150 extra hp... 1980s Rolls are notorious for being very slow and it certainly took much more than a rebuild and new exhaust for it to go that fast lol
