Looking at the Renault Talisman earlier.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

It reminded me of the Skoda Superb Mk3 estate.

We’ll be ordering in December for a March delivery but I’m getting so damned inpatient for it. Ours is in for repairs at the moment (slight argument with a low bollard when parking, bollard won), should of been back yesterday but when I phoned to see what was happening they said it was just being prepped for paint and would be Friday when we get it back and hand back the god awful courtesy car, a Ford Fiesta base model 1.0Ecoboost.

But the Talisman had me looking at the Superb estate again and man do I want it now, right now.

We’ll be going for the Manual 1.4TSi again in an SE model (nothing too flash).

Kinja'd!!!

In this blue, boy does she look gorgeous.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

This is more the spec we’ll be ordering.

I love how the bonnet shut lines follow the lines of the car rather than a basic ‘there’s the front wing, here’s the bonnet’.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Roll on March.

They really made a great looking car. I’m not sure about those things under the headlights though. And to be honest, i think the Passat looks way better!

Though the Superb is crazy cheap!! Cheaper than a C4 Picasso!!

The Passat looks okay but doesn’t have that little bit extra that I’ve come to love in Skoda. Same engines (though the VW is diesel only), MQB platform and everything but the Skoda ticks all my boxes for a manual, petrol and leaves £2,500 in my wallet (based on a 1.6TDi, manual 120ps).

That is beautiful. Congrats.

How much does that sell for in the land of RHD?

I wish they sold here.

I just don’t like anything about it. It’s too small, the seats narrow, the boot space, etc... I want my baby girl back.

List price for a manual 1.4TSi Superb SE in Petrol Blue Metallic (called Lava Blue Metallic in Europe) is £22,925 + plus about £700 in extras so £23,625 (USD$36,576) On The Road with registration and Vehicle Excise Duty.

The Fiesta is shockingly cramped in the front. I dont know how they managed to make it feel tighter than my much smaller Twingo.

About what I would have expected. Seems about right. Beautiful car.

I know, I hate it. My cleaning stuff fits under the retractable shelf in the Skoda, I have to put the rear seats down in the Fiesta and even there it doesn’t sit right.

For a top spec Laurent & Klement (£35,040 -USD$53,973) with every extra is £41,395 or USD$63,762. Though the L&K only comes with brown interior, hideous.

It’s like a reverse TARDIS that thing. Should be much roomier considering it’s size. I have the same complaint with the 1st gen new Mini.
