I do like your services, I really do. I enjoy the weirdos and Strange things you encounter when using your service, but hey, you get what you pay for, right? Anyway, I do have a small complaint. In the auto section you have the option of listing cars for just $1.00. The problem with this is that every freakin individual trying to get attention lists their cars for that price and then posts the real price somewhere within the text of the ad. Irritating.
I propose this solution, Craigslist. Each day and in each city, you should randomly make dealers doing this to actually sell the car in the bargain bin to sell their car for the advertised price. Just one a day should suffice. Word spreads faster than a porn star’s legs in the automotive sales community, so it shouldn’t take more than one or two of these events to break this habit.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ontop.

Signed by the actual Secretary of the Treasury, directly above the printed signature?
Or signed by Babe Ruth would be pretty cool too.

The I will be forced to repost this with $2 instead of $1. No one wants that.

You’re supposed to text those people pretending to be a religious single mother down on her luck, but putting herself thru law school. After several months of searching for a cheap reliable car Jesus has finally answered her prayers with this generous individual listing their car for the sum of just 1 DOLLAR. Clearly they have been called forward to help someone in need. Hallelujah!!!

I like to troll the sellers and ask whether their price has any wiggle room and will they take $.75

I’d rather not piss off the higher powers, but I get where you’re coming from.

Half the time I put my min at $75 gets out all the idiots.

Better idea: still allow users to set price at $1, but when they post, it displays $1,000,000.

Yeah, mine’s usually 100. I had it at 50 last time I was looking for a vehicle, and noticed a bunch of really nice trucks listed for 65 or 70. Turns out they didn’t think they needed the ,000 on the end.

Brilliant! Stick that clause in the TOU that nobody ever reads and include private sellers they’re just as guilty.
I would happily volunteer my time to Police this too.

You know that you would buy a $32 Lotus Elise. Every person who has authorship on this site would buy a Lotus Elise if it was only $32. None of us are smart enough to walk away.

The profit from the resale of those cars could then go to charity. Kids with cancer or whatever.

Yeah.. I was thinking that too..

Hell I am almost not smart enough to not buy one for $32,000 if I could.

Damn you for getting that jingle back in my head!

You're generous. I usually set mine to $1,000. You get another bunch of a-holes setting the price at $100.

I can’t stand Lotus’s.
I’d buy a $32 Lotus Elise LOL
I could part it out or flip it for a good profit on that investment cost.
