My folks had a Concorde (well, 2, actually) but we never tried this. Their first Concorde was a company car, it would have made a good guinea pig.

Reminds me of one time my buddy and I went to a sale at Canada Computers. We were standing in line, and this family of three walks out with a 55 inch flat screen. A bunch of us in line started looking at them like they were crazy. They tried putting it in the back seat of their car (an older Hyundai). It didn’t fit there, and even if it did, they would have had to leave one of the people at the store. So they put that sucker in the trunk.

Now, quick question: is a 55 inch TV going to fit in the trunk of a Hyundai?

(The answer is no)

So they had this TV basically hanging halfway out the trunk, then they piled into it and drove off. No tie down straps or anything.

A bunch of us in line looked at each other, and someone finally said “So, is anyone going to drive after them for a free TV?”

I had someone buy a 55-inch LCD TV and need help loading it into their car when I worked at Best Buy in 2011. That car was a Prius. Ugh. That was zero fun.
