Buy it
![]() 08/25/2015 at 17:44 |

that seems expensive

it is. but, IF I were in the market for a “new” car, I’d pay a basically new car price for this!

Oooooooh. I always liked the bugeye Imprezas, but they’re so hard to find in decent condition nowadays. That one is so minty I can smell it from Michigan.

Buy it and be prepared to replace all the soft tissues. I saw a lot of cars in that age range with low miles that still needed a lot of work because lines and hoses had just gotten too old. Because the car wasn’t driven much they never got replaced like they would on a daily.

eh, same is true for any subaru from 2003 :P at least this one is shiny to start with and replacing the hoses won’t involve getting coating in a decade’s worth of leaked oil

My job is taking apart 30-40 year old motorcycles. I’ve seen things come out of drain plugs you could never imagine.
Some of them looked (BUT DID NOT TASTE) like applesauce.

always important to confirm the taste of mystery items :D

I had an almost identical subie until I sold it about a year ago! Except it was a wagon and had 100,000 miles haha. But it was freakin immaculate.

Why buy that new Mitsubishi Mirage when you can get this WRX without financing?
![]() 08/25/2015 at 19:29 |

Jeez, that may be the lowest mileage one out there.

And miss out on a new car or cpo warranty...just saying but 16k on the used market buys you a lot of great used cars many with warranties

Wow, that’s pretty neat actually. Clean bugeye’s are rare, so even though the price of entry is a little high, you’re paying for a guaranteed-clean car. Sorting the few things out wouldn’t be too difficult and it’d make a decent DD if you were so inclined.
Too bad it’s not a WR Blue hatch, but that’s just me probably lol.

holy shit that’s a unicorn

why buy a car like that , yet hardly use it , it’s cruelty to cars!

Very nice. Do want.
I can’t help but comment on the ad, though - A “functional hood scoop” is not a factory extra on a WRX, nor is a lot of the other stuff. Also, “**no spam**” is like saying “please no murderers.” Oh, well I am a spambot and I was going to spam you, but you used 18 asterisks in your request for no spam. So you’re spared.
I also love that it has a tape deck. In 2003. In a car aimed at young people in the first place.
Oh yeah, most importantly, buy it!

yeah the ad was pretty garbage, and really the most glaring omission was some details about how the 10k miles have been driven. Is that all at once then parked for a decade? or like 10 miles week?
“functional hood scoop”, sad that subaru actually considered that a feature.

Funny thing about that top-mounted intercooler... my sister has a black WRX in Florida and it has trouble staying cool when parked in the sun at idle... ha

seems that a front mount is a pretty common first mod :D
