Last night at 10pm, with a milk bottle for a fuel tank and emmental cheese for a-pillars, a baby Alfa appeared!
I think it’s a 1.5ti, the owner didn’t hand around long so I didn’t have a chance to question, but he’s managed to find a ton of original parts for it, including interior upholstery in fantastic condition. Sorry for shit pic of a not particularly exciting car, but I love Alfasuds!

I drove a racing Alfa Sud once, most fun I have ever had in a car.

I don’t doubt it! The a-pillars and strut towers look the worst, but I haven’t seen underneath yeyt.

I’ve driven one the other day that’s been saved from worse condition. 1983 1.5 TI, most people would have pronounced it dead, but the guy was too young for that, was in love too deep. Took a year and a half to rebuild, but even after a machine shop working on it, the 1,5 still blew up, again. So he had to source another motor, and the only one he found that he could buy was a 1.7 16V from a 33 - on double Dell’Orto carbs instead of the Bosch injection. So the car has around 135 HP now, instead of the factory 95....... Is it fun? Yes it is, but I have to say, I am particular to Alfettas, when it comes to ‘70s Alfa Romeos.
