When did this game become !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I mean it always should have based on quality, but outside of Super Mario Bros. this was easily the most common game found at garage sales and flea markets alike.

I’ve got probably 5 of these cartridges laying around somewhere.

My cousin once said he could be it without the code. I called bullshit, and hr day down and did it. I spent the next week playing that game over and over until I could too. We were both well into our twenties. Battle toads, though? Imfuckingposible

I beat it once on one life when I was about 10. Got the spread shot in the first board and wrought hell upon those aliens. I can still beat it in under 3 lives.

Fuck Battle Toads. That fucking hover scooter thing is impossible. I always thought I was close to beating that part, but then finally saw someone get past it. Not even close.

Fuck Battletoads was right. It always ended up with me and my friend beating each other up on the vertical level by turning our toads into wrecking balls. Another one that was a pain in the dick was TMNT. “Leonardo got caught, who fights next”? Bullshit, he got run over by a damn van.

And Contra was the shit. I could beat it without the Konami code too after a while

TMNT is another one where I thought I was near the end but actually nowhere close. I always figured the city after the electric seaweed(easy btw) was the last part of that game. Turns out there’s like 9 more levels. I never stood a chance.

I had never notice how close to trademark and copyright infringement this game cover comes. The alien is straight up Alien; the blonde dude is a Commando-era Schwarzenagger, and the other guy is clearly a Rambo II-era Stallone.
