I sprinted a good ways through sidewalks from my post at Starbucks to get these pictures. And is that a ghetto curb feeler?

Mhmmm a 2103. Not as good as the 2106, which some regard as the most luxurious Lada ever built(in some configurations), but still very nice looking, when having all the chrome bits. This onle looks very clean.

Grounding strap probably rather than curb feeler.
Awesome old ride! :)

Must be good times in that area. I see an ML350, a Q70S, a CT200h, a new Crosstrek, and... a Corolla.

I hate this town. Overpriced as shit, loads of suburban soccer moms who can’t stop texting at stop lights in their insanely dangerous Explorer Sports, a bunch of valley girls, and very bourgeois to boot.

Hah, you sound like me if I ever lived in a high income area.
Even worse: The Candy Counter appears to be utilizing Comic Sans.

I agree with RallyDarkstrike, that’s an anti-static strap. They were really popular when I was a kid in the ‘80s. They were supposed to reduce car sickness and static shocks when grabbing the doors, etc. Snake oil, most likely.
You should’ve been in Canada in the ‘90s. Lada Samaras & Nivas everywhere.

That very car was at the Canepa Cars and Coffee last month. So cool to see one in the wild!

Oh yeah, which Saturday is Canepa C&C on?

RAB Motors on that Mercedes. I live in Marin, where is this? I’ve never seen that Lada around.
