So !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I’d thought that would be the end of it and just go on my merry way~.
Nope.
I get to witness the stinkening happen on live call.
So, I have this friend that I’m close to who had adopted two little (adorable) kittens.
What he wouldn’t expect was the fact that those little kittens (and not his dog this time around) had went forth and unleashed hell.
SWEET MOTHER OF FLATULENCE IT SMELLED LIKE ROTTEN EGGS BEING BOILED ON THE SPOT.
What topped it off was the status message being changed to reflect what circle of hell he had unwillingly went into.
“Cute little kittens!” to “What the hell did I just adopt...?”

Aww, cats are just cute little furballs of rodent death. They pose absolutely no threat whatsoever to humans of any size. Literally speaking, a cat would have a very hard time inflicting any sort of damage on even a newborn infant.

Well, yes and no. They are very compact packages of energy, and I have one family friend (at my parent level) that reached down to pet his sleeping Siamese which then proceeded to open his arm from mid-bicep to wrist resulting in 50+ stitches in a second or two. (Needless to say, that cat had a trip to the vet that didn’t end well for it.)
Not a normal response, mind you, and very rare. I’ve had the dubious pleasure of trying to take out feral cats that are violent in behavior and they are not very easy to kill or outsmart. If they wanted to be a threat, they could be one - they just don’t want to be one; Luckily for us.

Being sick today I didn't have the energy to do much of anything, and was feeling a bit bored and depressed. Although it wouldn't make me feel better physically, spending a bit of time watching cat GIFs did a nice job of cheering me up. I'd have a cat or two if I was allowed to have them in my home.

Yeah, that’s kittens man. When I got mine, he was like 11 weeks old, brought him home and we were hanging out in the room we had set up for him. Little dude goes over to the litter box to take a dump...we’re laughing because he’s all sitting upright and concentrating. Then there’s an audible fart and the worst smelling dump of all time. It was unbelievable.

Aww. I trap and fix the ferals here. Cuts down on violent behavior and I no longer find dead kittens in the yard, so it’s win-win for me. (I’m absolutely NOT trying to start a discussion on whether TNR is appropriate). A couple of the ones in my neighborhood are now more cuddly than one of my cats.
Now that the city has finally gotten rid of dumpsters the population is decreasing naturally.

Good work, that. My boys do trapping for fixing then release with some local outfits hereabouts.
But in 18 years, I’ve only seen 3 (all males) ferals get really ugly. There’s also 4 feral kittens that have become the land cats for a couple families here. So the goodness is definitely inside there. Of course, when you’re talking about 20K+ ferals in a 30x50 mile area, it’s not like they are going to go extinct or anything no matter what.
