And they loved it. It was just the KA24E with the 3 speed automatic, but they loved the utility and said that when we move, they’re thinking about picking up a Ranger or B-series. Denver, we might be Ranger buddies in a few months.

My parents borrowed a teal, extended cab hardbody. It is in absolutely oxidized condition, and I pity it every time I see it.

I had a friend who used to drive his grandfather’s Hardbody to school whenever his Cummins Megacab was in the shop for trans issues. To be fair to the him and the truck, he put 200,000 miles on the truck since the day he got his permit through graduation. He towed horse trailers cross country for rodeos and such with it, so he actually used it.

why a ranger? Get a powerstroke and haul way more and get almost the same MPG

Yeah, but as the parents want something small and cheap that just will happen to be my next car, a Ranger is a hell of a lot better than a Toyota Echo or Suzuki Aerio.

Fair enough. My mom still has nightmares about driving a Lincoln Mark IV in downtown Toronto.

Yeah. Maybe when I get one, i’ll put a Walker exhaust on it to have the Walker Canadian Ranger. Entering the Ranger Zone is scary, and fun. I just have to be aware of Ranger Danger.

Have a Nissan Hardbody back at home that was built in 1990. Has minimal rust (body work done), KA24E, long bed reg cab, and still has around 88,000 original kms. Drove it for 4 years and think its the most efficient truck ever. In the summer, 23/26 mpg, but still can haul things as long as 12 feet and up to 1/3 tonne. I love how little and light they are.
