I’m currently working on fixing up this old Sears wagon for my daughters. It belonged to my wife and her older brothers when they were kids. I don’t want to do a full resto, because I like the battle scars and I don’t want to spend much money on it. I also like that it’s a Sears wagon, it’s something different (although it looks exactly like a Radio Flyer to me, so perhaps they were the contract manufacturer of it).

It’s getting a 1” spacer lift, and some 10” pnuematic tires to deal with the brutal broken down sidewalks in our town. Other than that, I just want to make it not gross to sit in.

I was initially planning to simply scotch-brite the inside and shoot a coat of clear or two. Upon closer inspection, I think the inside may be too far gone for that. This brings me to plan B, Plastidip.

I’ve never used Plastidip, but y’all seem to love the stuff around here. Would that do a good job of coating the inside? If I do that, where do you think the best place is to make the cutoff line between the Plastidip inside, and the original paint outside? What say Oppo?

Use spray bed liner.

Plastidip doesn’t hold up to friction (plastic) and peels easily, IME.

Sand it (or use a chemical bath), prime it, then spray bed liner. It'll hold up for years, and you can pick the color and graininess.

Yep clean up the inside, spray that and then give the whole thing a clear coat

I came to say what BoxRocket already did. Use the spray in bed liner. Stuff is all weatherproof and is totally badass. We are using it to coat the inside of my friends Mudding Jeep because it’s that great

Boxrocket speaks truth. Kids scooting around will quickly peel it off.

I had thought of bedliner, but I didn’t know you could pick the color and texture. Where would I get that? Thanks!
