Just tell your parents that some band of thieves came by, stole the Leaf, and gave a Fulvia in return.

Honestly, the Fulvia is worth more than the LEAF. They have awful resale value. We have the top trim which was 36K before government subsidies. Now it’s probably worth about 15K. The thieves would actually be loosing money.
Unless they sold off the Lithium-ion batteries.

Since most thieves can’t drive stick, assume they’re too stupid to know how much a Leaf is worth.

They tend to want too much for their cars. There’s a ‘75 on eBay right now for $16.9k OBO. To be fair, the mods would be worth a bit more, but you may also be buying something which will break due to someone else’s shitty work.

That’s not untrue - you could get a car from Japan for thousands less, pay for shipping and import taxes, and often it’ll be less than what they charge. This dealer is if you don’t want to go through the process of importing.

I mean just in general. You can usually find their cars for less stateside.
