If you haven’t been seen it in the news, there was an attack on a French high-speed train today that authorities are calling an act of terrorism. Two passengers were wounded, one seriously, but the gunman was subdued by two American passengers, reportedly US Marines. The BBC is reporting that the Americans heard the gunman loading his automatic rifle in the lavatory and confronted him when he came out. No word yet if one of the wounded, an American passenger, was one of the men who subdued the shooter. The suspect, a Morroccan, was known to French authorities and was arrested.

France 24 news is giving slightly different details, saying that two were seriously wounded, and that one of the men who halted the attack may have been British. Either way, these guys are heroes and their action surely stopped a massacre.

Imagine being that Terrorist. You’re on your first job, you picked something big to impress all your crazy friends. You pump yourself up my doing cool poses in the mirror like loading a gun only to met by two members of the special forces as you leave. Kudos to the Marines by foilng this plot by using their ears of all things.

Don’t forget Yorktown. The French had a lot to do with that whole “winning the American Revolution” thing back in 1781.

I thought “don’t fuck with the Marines” was something everyone learned very young. You know, the sky is blue, the Earth is round, that kind of thing.

What makes the grass grow, gents?

Blood makes the grass grow.

Good job, brothers. Rest, recover, and steel yourself in preparation for your next encounter with the enemy.
