I’ve owned quite a few cars, in several states, but none as great as New Mexico.

What makes owning cars in New Mexico great?

How about:

Long straight deserted roads

Twisty mountain deserted roads

75 MPH Speed Limits

Cops that don’t care ‘til you hit triple digits

Virtual rust free environment

No vehicle inspections

Cheap registration

Best looking license plates in the union

and the #1 all time winner:

no front license plates!

What’s great about car ownership in your state?

As an Arizonan I echo most of your comments, I would also like to add summer tires year round.

Eastern PA(western PA is too much like Ohio):

twisty mountain roads

beautiful foliage amongst twisty mountain roads

snow covered twisty mountain roads

annual state inspections(my car would be a wreck without them)

no front plates

Michigan:

Very little rust

Roads are well maintained

Roads are maintained

Enforcement of traffic laws is somewhat lax

Other motorists are safe and courteous

Insurgence rates are reasonable

They keep you warm in winter
