Trackday at Zandvoort or: How rich people drive cars while I take pictures of them

After reading there was a trackday event at Zandvoort on their website, I decided to pack my camera and go. And my God, am I glad I did.

The even was held by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a German organisation that arranges trackdays for it’s members all over Europe.

First interesting car of the day was this Opel GT

Yep, that is an LSX in the front.

The pit lane was accessible to everyone today. This is going to be a good day.

These look so much better in real life. The black helped a lot too.

Someone got so excited they went full Wert and started dragoning it.

There was a plethora of Porsches at the track today.

Also this stunning E30 M3.

And a road legal(!) Radical SR3 SL.

Time to get over to the pit wall and see some of the action on the track.

I decided to get a bit cheeky and ask the marshal if I would be allowed to take pictures from the corner of the pit exit. He was fine with that and we had some cool conversations between taking pictures. He has been marshalling for, as he put it, only 45 years. Very nice man, great sense of humour. Here is my view.

Right, time to relocate. I tried to push my luck and ask if I could take pictures from the mashal boot at the first corner but that was a bit too much.
