2019? No more Hellcats and Blade Runner? It’s going to be awesome!

Not just that, but V8s altogether.

I remember them saying a significant redesign coming in 2018, maybe it got pushed back to 2019. That said, I think anything this far ahead is just speculation.

Read this and thought-2020, that’s way off in the future. Did the math 2020-2015=5. Nope, that’s right around the corner. Now I feel old.

They say the Hellcat is leaving to meet average emissions regulations, but what tiny percentage of all FCA cars sold are Hellcats?

As I said on Facebook, I really don’t believe this. Dodge has been flouting themselves as a “performance” brand, and they cling hard to large displacement engines. They have three separate HEMI V8s, a V10, and three of their vehicles (Charger, Challenger, Durango) have V8 options. They sell themselves on this. I seriously doubt that they’re going to so much as “follow the leader” with turbo-4s (Dart notwithstanding) and 6 cylinders. They’ve marketed themselves as an old-school performance brand far too heavily, and resisted the change of the market for way too long for me to see this as reputable.
