I think I’d be more ok with this if he let other people see them. Ruining all those cars for something just for himself seems greedy.

Actually, given the way he did it, and his goal behind it, I would say that it is art. F’d up, eccentric art, but still art. And lots of artists have mental illness. Sometimes that is what lets them see the world the way they do, and gives them the capacity to let others see the world the way they do. As one who appreciates art and nature, I like his installation. As someone who loves cars, I feel like:
