I drove the Panhard back from Nagoya port to home while the Dino did the trip on a truck. It feels good to have them in hands!! The trip went well, both cars drive great and it’s pretty fucking awesome to drive a 1963 Panhard in the middle of Japan haha!! People’s look is quite priceless, especially when they hear the 2 cylinder 4 stroke engine :)

For those who missed the review of the Dino, it’s here:

As for the Panhard, the full Oppo review is coming up later on this week or the week after :)

Damn freaking happy right now!!

Clearly you’re doing something right. That looks fantastic, and both of those cars are on my wish-list here in Belgium.

They are great, but let’s say that the Panhard is a nice car to look at... to drive... meh :)

As I said the full review will come up later on... I can only hope it gets published on the FP again.

It does seem like the sort of foreign car that’d be popular with Japanese collectors. I don’t know if they were officially imported ever, but there are apparently a few over there already.

I know for instance with the SAAB 96 - although sold in Japan they are so rare now that collectors import British market cars.

Is driving the PL17 anything like driving a 2cv?

Oh, man, the Panhard with a modern drivetrain would be such a nice thing!

AWESOME! I totally missed the Panhard-part but if there is a French car that screams “obscurity” this is the one! Love it and can’t wait for the review.

No it’s a lot worse than a 2CV :)

It was never imported and it’s very very rare here... it does have some followers though, just very few haha

Well now I must wait for your review. I would have figured they were sportier than a 2cv.

Ooh no lol... if by sportier you mean that they have less body roll, then yes it’s sportier :)

Other than that, it’s pretty bad lol.. and I have the “Relmax” version of thecar! Relmax mean “maximum relaxe”... comfier seats... and it’s bad, very bad.

I’ll explain everything in the review :)

Sorry to reply-hog. This was posted in a restaurant (local to me in Belgium) that had vintage ads all over the ceiling.
