Make sure you get an instructor.

Sweet!!! Pads and fluid are a must. As long as your tires are OK, you should do just fine. Who’s running the event?

Yeah, I’ve got some used Rivals I bought that I run autox on. They are worn, but in decent shape. Not cording or even at the wear markers yet. I’ll be bringing my stock wheels with the Primacy HPs, which still have plenty of life left, as well; just in case.

It’s through MVP Track Time.

Yep haha. With registration, insurance, and brake pads/fluid the weekend is going to run me $1,000+. Probably around $1,100-1,200 with a hotel room.

Elkhart Lake is a nice little resort town, although by October it may not really be lake weather anymore. Some good restaurants in town. Paddock Club is the one fancy place, and good. Off the Rail is a good little breakfast & lunch place. Lake Street Cafe is a pretty decent bar/cafe place.

Yeah, I’ve been up there for the TUDOR race before. Very nice little town.

Worst case, the Prius tires will get you home if you kill the Rivals. I actually found autocross to be harder on tires than the track, because autocross is constant hard turns and the track isn’t, despite the higher speeds.

Or throw on the Prius tires for a mad drift session...

It only gets worse from there.
