This was a pretty nasty comment. This was from way back when Mr. Regular wrecked his car, And then the rest of that particular thread unfolds as expected.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

No matter what you think of Mr. Regular, or his videos, no one, NO ONE, should ever celebrate the destruction of the greatest vehicle ever conceived: the Toyota Echo.

I think it was the non-intermittent wipers.

Not as excellent as the Echo!

It’s the internet. Your statement translates into, “Sir, I frown upon your opinion,” in real-world speak.

The 2014 Taco I drive for work still doesn’t have them. My 1980 has them, because SR5. You’d think after 35 years, they would just be standard.

My 1999 4Runner has them. But that’s SR5 as well. I would think they were standard. How much money were they actually saving by not putting them on the Echo? Couldn’t be much considering that the same part fits on the Corolla and Rav-4.

Well the Echo is a true bare bones car. Meaning we will take away options you took for granted.

That is true, but I still can’t believe a 2014 car doesn’t have them. Motorized windows are fine as long as the car is small enough, but the whole wiper deal would seem to be a safety thing.

It would not at all surprise me if it actually cost Toyota more to use the poverty-spec wipers and yet they do so anyway just because they can’t go around selling a stripped out trim level with actual options on it now can they?

When you see my review of the Taco, you will see that there are other areas of... budgeting.

Don’t they still run rear drum brakes on the Taco too? I had an 80’s Subaru with four wheel discs.

They sure did! And the new 2016 will STILL have drums in the rear. This is what America gets when no one is creating a competitive product to pit against the Taco (sorry, GM, you’ll still have to prove it).

What’s funny is my dad has a 2010 Z71 and it also has rear drums. It’s because truck people will eat that shit up whether it’s good or not.
