Now drive the Mustang head on into the side of the Vette (at the rear axle) and get the same results. Those pesky crumple zone’s, really do a number on these newer cars.

The Vette will crumple more because the IRS will fall in and the mustang will have a bit of a crushed front but not as bad off as that

I forgot that this particular mustang has the solid axle out back still so you’re correct, that will make it much stronger during impact as opposed to the Vette’s IRS.
The hood is also much taller so it will take out the entire side of the Vette.
