So I review cars... sometimes. Last week I was surprised by one of the people who watch my videos. I was supposed to meet him at Cars and Coffee, and later at the Monthly Muscle Car show, but for some reason we always ended up missing eachother.
Tongue in cheek I replied: “I could always review your SRT8, that way we can meet up and you’ll get your car on film,” To my surprise he had already been contemplating the idea, so we ended up meeting up on a Sunday and shot the following:
It was my first time driving a MOPAR and I think my reactions and remarks about the car speak all. It also sums up what many already know about the car community: The real enthusiasts will always be your kind of folk.

Sometimes I wish I was able to get a newer 300C, but the Magnum RT was really the bigger sleeper. Literally.
But those 300Cs....they look so good. The latest 300C looks even better, but there’s no SRT of it. Ugh, wasted opportunity.
The LX cars just need better struts, coilovers are a bit on the extreme side, my Magnum handles like it’s on rails with the KW V2s, but you feel every single bump and imperfection. The seats in the SRT8s are also a massive improvement, the lower trim seats in the base or even S just don’t hug you enough, I swapped in Challenger seats for better comfort in my Magnum because I was getting thrown around so much and wanted to stick in place.
But goddamn do I love those 300s....incredible looking front end. Wish I could swap that nose on the Magnum, but then I’d have to do something to the rear because it would be so out of place.

There are spy shots of a refreshed 300 SRT - I hope that the 300 SRT goes back into production, as I always liked it.

Yeah, the owner said that the 2014’s where the last of the SRT’s. A missed oppertunity for sure. I loved this one, and I know I would love future ones as well. Apperantly they do get the 2015’s in SRT8 trim in the middle east. And I go: WHYYYYYY?!
Agreed on the magnum being a sleeper too. Especially the SRT8’s. But, they do go badge crazy on those vs the 300’s.

The Magnum SRT8? I don’t know if I’d say badge crazy, but it isn’t hiding it. The rear badge, the front badge, and then the wheels are embossed, so I guess...Not like the Challengers though, couldn’t put SRT on those things another way if you needed to.
I wish the LX cars didn’t have such drastic interior changes from 2005 to 2013. I would have loved to pick up a set of the 300C SRT seats, but the wiring harness is completely different IIRC. I mean, I stuffed Challenger RT seats in, and it made a massive difference already, but I can’t help but want something more, like ventilated seats, only I’d have no way to wire them up and make them function (exactly why I had to find a more basic seat).
The older 300C SRT had obvious wheels though. The newer ones are definitely more understated to compete with the Audis though, at least that’s what I’ve noticed around me.
