I also have the goal to, one day, find a Skyline and get it aligned.

This is a professional drift car that competes Formula Drift. I guarantee the alignment is fine.

Depends on your definition of “fine”. In this specific context, where you can completely trash wear life for 5% better grip at full steering lock because you’re going to throw the tires out anyway, sure it’s “fine”. In terms of being a car built to perform in the real world, it’s about as “fine” as running a 4 speed and full slicks on your Mustang is.

I don’t want to “because racecar”, I want to “because all around awesome machine I can enjoy in a variety of situations”.

This car was built for one purpose: To go sideways at high speed. It does that really damn well.

Right, but it also means it’s ruined for use in the real world. I’ve never been a huge Skyline nut but can respect their capabilities and rarity, so for a hardcore fan I imagine seeing camber that overdone just to do burnouts is probably pretty cringe-worthy.

At least with Fox body 5.0 dragsters you know there are a million more out there, right?

It’s not a street legal car. It’s not built for the real world.

There are a million other Skyline drift cars too.

(was a serious question) But i would imagine if you’re infront then you dont need to worry about seeing the other guy? That’s his job i would think. I don’t know anything about drifting.

Somebody pissed in your Cherrios this morning, but let’s do this for clarity’s sake. To the bullet points, cuz I haven’t used those in a long time.

The car control necessary to be a pro drifter is awesome

Drifting as a judged sport is as painfully stupid as ice-skating. About as exciting, too.

You’ll note that the fronts are cambered way the hell in, but the rears are not. The engineers are not doing this for fashion

When a drift car with modified steering knuckles is using full steering angle, that camber actually goes away and the tires are nearly vertical again, maximizing contact patch

Kinja'd!!!

Kids (they’re all kids) who modify their street cars with ultra-camber are stupid and wasting tires.

There’s good hockey on, why are you watching ice skating anyway?

I’m sure it’s useful in telleing how close you are to the walls as well. I would think that he at least is aware of how close the following driver is, hence the tiny mirrors.
