This is what I could come up with, do you have some special cars on your local sites?
What did you think of the cars?

This offends me, take it off! (sarcasm)

Most of these are worth nothing but the crusher. I’m curious about the E30 though. I hardly fit in an E30 as is, and I’m not overly tall at 188 cm. Chopped roof = only tiny people will fit?

Why does it look so damned wide?

I think the seating position might be lower so it evens out?
![]() 08/13/2015 at 16:50 |

Not really custom, but this is what a dealer close to me got for sale :P

Yeah I’m guessing the seats are bolted to the floor, so it’s probably at least equal...

Yeah, he’s got a weird collection :P I wish I had the money for that purple SE30 “Jota” though.

the chopped roof is giving the illusion of it being wide as your used to seeing them with the normal roof

BMW M5 replica made out of a 535d auto?
People must be so dam disappointed with the noise when it starts up...
Better :) still gaudy, but if you’re driving an American car in the UK that’s a given...
Now we’re getting somewhere :)
174bhp Mi16 engined Peugeot 205 for £2500?
Holy grail. Sending the link to my Peugeot-fan mate right now :)
‘FULLY TUNED’ chrome-wrapped Mercedes CLS63 AMG which has been ‘completely tuned’ to make 40-50 more bhp than stock.
Aaaaand we’re back to square 1...

That M5 replica is convincing from the looks, but you’d just look like a fool driving it.
Why does every american car in the EU has to look overly american? Chrome everything, terrible big and of course chrome wheels, as loud as possible and shouty bright candy paint. Often with some ‘nostalgic’ or typical american things like dice, a pin-up girl or a cartoonish picture of the car. I hate these gaudy rides, I would much prefer to see them original.
That Audi is looking good.
Peugot is a nice pocket-rocket
The Mercedes is shouty, but I kinda dig the wheels. Chrome wrap is overdone..

That chop topped E30 actually kinda works.
Now I’m gonna spend the rest of the workday thinking of chop topped old BMWs.

Also, I found some for you

That shark mouth one is awesome, I remember seeing it before the top was chopped I think.
Have a pic of my car’s mouth for your troubles.

Especially with that hardtop :D

Yeah I don’t get it either. I wonder if the people who pony up to get a car imported over here are the die-hard Americana fans.
I’d much rather have a fairly standard Chevrolet Corvair 2nd gen (maybe in a nice dark blue), or for some reason an AMC Hornet really floats my boat. That light, almost chalky blue they come in, 2-door notchback with probably a 4.0 swapped from a Cherokee.
If I must go the muscle/pony car route I’d probably like a ‘67 Firebird with a 400 and a 4-speed. Preferably a little ratty so I wouldn’t worry about nailing it all the time :)

What’s interesting is that the e30 race car still has the 318hubs.
