Valves shimed to within 1/1000 of a mm of perfection. New belts installed onto new techy-tech light-weight pulley wheels. Head studs replaced. Even added a super-dope yoyodyne cluch slave.....

One bad-ass Ducati 900 2-valve ready to put back in the bike......

1/1000 of a mm

Those spider silk feeler gauges are pricey, yo.

haha— you’re right— total typo.. meant 1/100.... but I’m going with it! i spent so much on those valves they might as well be 1/1000’s!

I’ve definitely known some people who would do valve jobs down to the micron if they could.

Hope you had fun with the screwdrivers and magnets with those valve shims hahahaha.

You'll love it when it's back in. Be sure to sync the carbs up and you'll be golden. That clutch slave will make a big difference too!

Yeah, that’d be absurd, but hey, if you could get it that exact... why not?

Screwdriver was to hold down the closer valve arm, and magnets were to grab the collets (as well as confound the insane clown posse)... And yeah, I’m excited to see the difference the yoyodyne makes... I’m ready to pull an all-nighter to get Tantor back on the dirt...

Anything you get down to a higher precision than the layer of oil is overkill. Delicious, delicious overkill.

I used to be a Ducati tech so I've done my fair share of valve adjustments on the 2v and 4v motors. The 2v are definitely the easiest. Especially when out of the bike on a bench. If I was around, I'd come over and help with the all nighter!

Haha!—- I was wondering! I was like, “oh, he must of seen the screwdriver and magnets in the photo” and then I looked closely at it, and there’s no screwdriver and magnets in the photo! So I figured you had some experience with duc valves.... Wish you were here to help too! I’d provide as much beer and colorado freedom-flowers as needed!
