Just got out of the movie, loved avery bit of it, except one thing in particular. It’s not really a spoiler, but you never know. It will probably bug any gear head that knows the even nothing about the history of Land Rovers. As a reminder the movie in set in the early 60’s. You probably know where this is going... Well, I caught at one moment the shape of a Land Rover, later, same car, but something bugged me. Headlights on the fender. I mean, they couldn’t have made such a msitake right? especially for a car that actually get some real screentime... Well they did, and they used a Land Rover Series 3 which was introduced in 1971... Comme on Guy! You’re British, you should know about that kind of thing....

I don't know if I really have any desire to see that movie, looks kinda eh to me. Although I will say that the female lead Alicia Vikander is quite an attractive lady.

I really liked it, it was very entertaining and funny. 2-hours long but didn’t seem that way. And Guy Ritchie always knows how to give you nice action sequence and nice cinematography. And it’s full of interesting vehicles.

I’ll have to see it by myself. It will be like Gravity all over again, otherwise.

...it was a secret prototype land rover. For spy type use only.
This however makes me wonder, what year is the movie set in exactly? The Trabant we all know and love didn’t appear until 1964.

The TV show was from 1964, so I would say around the same for the movie.

What year in the 1960s exactly? Because if it was 1969 the fender mounted headlights would be historically accurate as LR moved the headlights on the 1969-1971 SIIA to the front wing:
Note the SII style grille.

Assuming the movies is based on the rough story of the TV-Show, I would say 1964 which was the first broadcast of the show.

Well then the producers of said film have commited a crime against humanity and shall be torn apart by four (period correct) Land Rovers.

Mrs. addiction and I really liked it, too! Hopefully the unusual title won’t keep too many people away.
