Walk outside and enjoy the night sky Oppo. Tonight is the meteor shower and right now is peak viewing.

I did. I didn’t see any Perseids (they come from the direction of Indianapolis), but I did see some Delta Aquarids. It was awesome.

Saw a few good ones but pretty barren otherwise. Not sure if related but we saw a lot of bright flashes without a distinct source.

There’s a volcano near here and I could be at 14.000ft high in a little over and hour of driving, everytime I hear about these meteor events I say to myself “this time I’m going up there to camp” but I never do it. I don’t know if you can really see anything from my location (right on the equator), but I have to give it a try. There’s a lake a couple hours from here, 12500 ft high, I’m really wasting my time living here...

Saw a bunch tonight. Nothing like the night sky in a relatively remote area of a national park. Nearest population cluster of more than 5000 people is over sixty miles away.

I went out and it was well worth it. There were pockets where they came hard and fast (4-8 per minute), and some fantastically bright meteorites that bordered on fireball territory. Totally worth it.

You only have a finite time on this Earth and you never know when something crazy might happen. I think the meteors are still going to fall tonight if you want to go out.
