I found a really good deal on a set for my C30. They cost a heck of a lot less than the OEM Volvo drop but are also nearly twice as low. These are around 1.5” all around. I really like the look but worry it might make my ride unbearable. Anyone here use them?

I don’t think it should be too bad—the look combined with the decrease in body roll/better handling will compensate for the mild decrease in comfort.

I doubt it’s comparable, but I have H&Rs on my 02. About a 1-1.25 drop. With the right shocks it’s a great setup. They are progressive springs and the car feels great in corners.

Id still say so because I want to know most anything! They are decent quality?
I’ll probably get new shocks soon anyway since I’m about that mileage for new ones.
I just don’t want to break my daily

It’ll look much nicer than now

I don’t think you’ll be hurting anything. The sport springs are stage 1s, you won’t be sacrificing much ride. I would recommend calling H&R and asking what shock/strut they recommend for your car with those springs.

Did you buy the black one or do you still have the blue one?

I’ve still got the blue one. They dropped the price down to $20,500 And it was gone within a day

Got to ride around in my buddy’s Subaru Outback with Bilsteins and H&R springs. The ride was really nice. Stiff yet not harsh and flat through the corners. Although you WILL bounce around a bit if the road gets super bumpy.

I already answered the question in your post

I have read mixed reviews on H&R as a brand.
You may want to look into spring rates (OEM vs Stock) and if they work with your struts/shocks. Also you may want to look into what is an acceptable amount of lowering for your car before it becomes detrimental to handling, unless you just want to do it for looks. Riding bumpstops because the car is too low doesnt sound comfortable.

More than likely I’m going to be replacing everything because I’m near that mileage point anyway and feel my ride being a little bouncier

The ride will probably be a bit rough. Are you a member of any Volvo forums?

Yeah Swedespeed, C30 World, and I think one other one.
They say it’s not much firmer than an R Design...but I don’t know how an R Design drives...
They also say using Bilstein shocks help which I’m looking into since I think mine are dying.
