Most of their parts and drivetrains are parts bin specials, so parts should be easy to come by as far as Citroen parts go. They made roughly five billion of them between the end of the war and the early 80s, so $40k for one seems steep to me.

Thanks! I’m not that well versed in Citroen makes/models or the rarity of them, just scrolling through ebay and came across it

This might be a better bet as far as Ebay is concerned -

I love the HY! They shared a lot of parts with other Citroens, especially the Traction Avant (same engine and gearbox). Not fast, but pretty bulletproof. They’ve jumped up a lot in price because of their unique looks and practicality - a lot of companies are using them for advertising vehicles, but also a lot of food companies are using them for mobile restaurants/food trucks as well.

It’s steep by the standards of this site but you’re paying for the rarity value in America as well.

Oh yeah. If I were to buy an H-van, it would definitely be imported. It seems like all of the ones here are way overpriced.

There is a pretty creepy french horror movie that uses them as the bad guy’s ride.

I could definitely see one of these being used as the baddies vehicle of choice
