My parents Yukon is having issues.
Where should this be.... It’s not the radiator... Right ?

That’s just an overflow tube, it’s not supposed to go anywhere.

Is it overflowing with the cap closed? Could be something simple like a bad cap.

Nope not an issue, that line, known as a coolant overflow, either goes into an overflow bottle (I’ve used a beer bottle before as a makeshift) or some cars have them routed to just spill onto the ground which isn’t the most environmentally friendly thing in the world.

Shark-Attack is right, either to an overflow bottle (secondary, considering thats what that tank is) or to the ground.
My SL has the tube going to the ground, my Magnum doesnt even have a tube like that, the tank is quite large and has a small vent hole just in case. Most people would never notice it, some get confused, and other people have had to figure it out before. No biggie.

My Yukon’s just goes to the ground because it’s already bad for the environment so how much more damage is it going to do.

None really. Apologies if I sound like a preachy prius owner. FWIW my csi doesn’t have an expansion tank either.

I wasn’t implying you’re a preachy tree hugger. It was a rhetorical question, the truck is already horrible for the environment.

I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say it’s horrible, it does have emissions controls, and it’s still far far better than buying a new car every couple years once you factor in pollution from production, material aquisition, and transport.

I exaggerated a bit, it’s really not that bad. I mean it’s not great on fuel but a Prius being built is worse for the environment than driving the truck is.
I only run premium fuel in it as well, the truck runs much better.

Yep! My “junior project” back in high school was all about prius and how they’re not all they’re chalked up to be. I rage everytime I see a prius with an environment sticker.

Applies to any hybrid really. Extremely bad for the environment to produce them but consumers get incentives for buying them.
