1980. Only year for that grille.

Nice find! Oppo brown too.
Think of Scottsdale as a mid spec trim level. There are others like Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne, and top end Silverado.

That’s a stock grill?

Trim level. It went Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, Cheyenne, Silverado. By the mid 90s it was just Silverado with the familiar LS or LT trims.

My dad had a ‘79 Custom Deluxe K10. I always loved that Chevy chose that name for a truck with zero options. It did have a plaid benxh seat though. PLAID!!!!

That plaid seat is an option! Could've had vinyl. Deluxe indeed.

Oh it was vinyl. Sweet blue and white plaid vinyl!

Sounds rad

It was! I wish I could get a plaid bench seat in a modern pickup. I would want it to be cloth though.

Absolutely. And in those colors. Color match interiors need to return. All black is getting really old.

Yes! I am so sick of black, grey and tan interiors.

I’m pretty sure Custom Deluxe was the base trim.
I have a ‘86 3/4 ton Custom Deluxe and it has NO features whatsoever. Vinyl floor, crank windows, vinyl bench seat, no cruise, no A/C, FM radio with 1 speaker.
Why it has Deluxe in the name is beyond me because there is nothing deluxe about it.

Yeah, Custom Deluxe is the fancy name for you couldnt afford options. At least it’ll last longer since there are hardly any electronics!
