I will hopefully purchase a clean volvo s40 to DD within the next few months, if I can find the right one. However... if I find something like this on my local CL I’m doomed. Look!! It even has a passenger airbag! AND ITS SO GREEN. And so V8 S class... for me at least, a silly old German car is always my favorite to way to dump money down the ol’ automotive drain. I’d rather replace old worn out greasy things than chase a drain with a stupid voltmeter.

Always purchase the longest car you can afford as long as it not American made. Sure thing.

This car is CP by 5k, there are good deals out there.

To make the decision harder, the w126 are practical cars if you can do your own work.Lots of spare parts, easily service and fair parts prices. The most aggravating problem I had with mine? Battery drain from stock Becker radio. Becker never Mercedes favors.

Great tip on the becker! The E24 I had as a DD had a nice drain on the cabin light, no surprise in And yeah haha the classic Autotrader 200-300% price hike. I enjoy doing my own work, it’s fun and I view it as a hobby so I don’t mind “expensive” old German car parts. That really does make this decision even more appealing. The fist car I ever DDd was the stupid old 6 series in my sig, so I’m sure if I found a 5-6k 560sel or sec I’d be buying into that exact same brand of fun again. Except more reliable and less rusty, (hopefully) because it would be mint. I’ve always liked w126s... especially the sedans.
