I realized I had a turn signal out tonight, I ran down to Oreillys and fixed it. I also replaced the flasher, because why not; it was old. Because my right-front signal was out, my rear-right signal would sometimes stay solid.... weird. It was easy and cheap. BTW, I think my signal bulb was original, as in 22 years old. Look at this thing:
I wonder how many other of my bulbs look like that

Ya, the weird part was the indicator on the dash didnt flash either when it malfunctioned. OBD-I is weird

For a fun fact to drop at a party, your bulb was solid due to the flasher only getting 1/2 the current running through it. The flashes needed more current, which makes heat, to work.
Congrats on the fix, even something this easy could still be charged the minimum fee at a shop.

Thats actually pretty interesting. Ive actually done way more invasive repairs to my truck before. This just happens to be the least interesting entry on my long list of repairs done.

If you don’t like brighter, safer, more reliable lighting, then I guess you’re right.
