Okay, so I know vandalism isn't legal. However, the proper course of action isn't to beat the guy up! He isn't going to prison, Evo guy would be!!! What a tool.

Actually depending on the state, as long as you caught them in the act and not fleeing, you can legally do far worse.

Isn’t that like, just in Texas and Wisconsin? I think in Texas, it’s legal to use lethal force to protect your property.

Alabama, and I do believe a few other places in the Southeast. Depending on how you look at it, it’s also protecting yourself. A lot of thefts in the Southeast are meth addicts stealing AC units for the $20 in copper inside, which A. If you have an elderly person in the house in the summer and can’t afford the thousands to replace it, it could be fatal. and B. Meth addicts will do anything to get their next high, so they will kill you if you try to stop them.

Why is it always the sexual-related insults that come out in these fights in America?
True story, when I transferred to a different school zone in 7th grade I went from black school, as a Hispanic - Pollock, to an all white upper middle class school. I got in a fight within my first two weeks, and was taught in fights to win BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. To spell that out, it means I Grab, then Twist, then Pull as hard as possible. Well because one of the “tough” white kids at the new school had me in a headlock, I grabbed that fuckers groin, twisted and pulled as hard as my 95lb middle schooler self could. Because I fought in this manner I was called fag, queer, and because I am Hispanic and made to feel bad about that “Soft Taco”.
I cannot stand how Americans treat other people. Middle class white kids are some of the worst human beings. Everything that was not cool to them or was different was “gay”. Wtf?! I hate that shit.

I’ll be honest I don’t really have any insightful to add to this but your story reminds of a stupid challenge I took up in secondary school.
Just like how in the States everything was “gay” the same was true in the UK. I had a classmate who was a gay and this was getting on his nerves so I decided to screw with people because I had nothing better to do. So I decided to start saying “that’s racist” to everything to the point that someone called me out on it. At which point, I counted that it is no less wrong than saying gay in inappropriate places. This descended into an unbelievably stupid debate which attracted 83 people.
The debate was that all racist people are gay. My logic was that if given the choice a true racist would rather sleep with someone of the same gender than someone of a different race, my logic was sound (no it wasn’t) and I won 81-2. The end result was that gay = racist and while homophobic behaviour was tolerated, racism very much wasn’t. As a result, people in my year literally stopped saying gay over night as you couldn’t call someone racist in my school without a good reason due to past incidents. Near the end of term, my head of year found out and brought it up with me to which I explained how it was a joke that got out of control, since it stopped people saying gay I was let off for saying something so dumb.
All in all, Teenagers are dumb. Except for me since I managed to convince 81 people that all racists are gay.

I almost want to say that’s awesome?!?!? Up north here, if you were to hurt someone for damaging your property, you end up being the bad guy. But what you’re saying that if someone damages your property, you reserve the right to make them regret it?

Yes, yes you do. Plus in the scheme of things, when it comes to drug related robberies, it isn’t just a one time thing. So down the line, someone could be in the wrong place at the wrong time and lose there life, because some scum of the earth needed $30 in drug money. We’ve actually had a police officer tell us if we encountered one, to shoot to kill, because when they are strung out, they’ll keep coming til they can’t... And they can’t sue if they are dead. Those were his reasons.

My High School Economics teacher told the class similar. He’s like: “Illinois is a weird state where if you beat someone up for damaging your property, they can sue you for more than the property is even worth. So if you ever encounter a robber in your house? Kill them. Dead people can’t sue and they didn’t belong in your house in the first place.”

I’m guessing he wasn’t a fan of Chicago politics?

Save for how much Chicago/Illinois loves LBGTQ+ people, everyone hates Chicago politics. :P

With Chicago’s political history, I have no doubt that their LBGTQ+ love is probably a distraction.

I can see a old ignorant fart thinking that is a Japanese car.
I had a similar experience a few years ago. An ex marine(who and never gone over seas, and was still going to school for free, told me I “wasn’t a real American” because I drove a Toyota. I processed to show him that while my Camry was built in The U.S. of A., his late 90’s Chevy truck was built in Mexico, by “some god damn beaners”
