Last week, I had realized waiting to buy a car was a good thing for adult reasons.
So that’s all out the window. I’m fully obsessed with the Fiesta ST. If there was a local, non-black or red car with the Recaros, I’d have one in my friveway right now.
I’ve watched tons of video reviews on the car, and can’t wait. I almost bought a white, no option car, but I have a feeling I will regret not buying a car with the Recaros.
I maye have to order a ‘16 - the only option I want is the Recaros, and they’re supposed to replace the MyFordTouch stereo setup with something improved.
I am still shocked that 2 weeks ago I sold my C6, and that I am eagerly looking to replace it with a Fiesta ST. Mind blown.

Just to make sure; you’ve actually sat in one with the recaros, yes? For some they’re great, for others they’re terrible.

Oppo really is a drug.

Do you think they fit better for smaller or larger people?

I would assume smaller? I know the ones in the FoST felt like my back was wedged between the bolsters instead of actually hitting the back of the seat. Created some uncomfortable pressure points. Just depends how broad you are at about ribcage level.

I would definitely make sure you get to sit in one before you commit. I haven’t done a survey of people who do and do not like them to say what the difference is, but I have known some pretty skinny people who also had issues.

For sure! As with most things of course.

I’m somewhat small (5’6”) so I’m sure they’ll fit me fine as I find a Miata spacious :D

It is, but odds are I’ll be able to put my foot to the floor more often in the FiST than I ever did in the Corvette. Every review I’ve seen says it’s a blast to drive.

Yes! I would love to get a FoST, but it will have to be a base model without the Recaros, because those are a torture device for me.

Honestly, I have the ST1 and I love it. You miss out on some features, sure, but it’s hard to beat the price.

Just... make sure you sit in one before you commit. I’d guess it’s a small person/big person thing, but it may not be. I’ve seen some pretty skinny people who didn’t like them as well.

The ST1 seems to have all the stuff I care about.

I do find myself missing the cooler headlights of the higher trims, and occasionally having integrated GPS, but for the most part I’m fine with my choice.
Although the stereo doesn’t display track information over bluetooth which bothers me.

Personally, I could care less about fancy headlights, and I am one of the last few remaining people in my generation who doesn’t use a GPS. I’ve never done music over bluetooth either ... I really am a crabby old man at heart.
