Here’s why. Vintage 24” Craftsman toolbox in excellent shape, complete with inner tray, and super cool crinkle paint job. New Craftsman boxes are overpriced pathetic shells of their former self. This bad boy only cost me $20 at a resale shop.

$20? That’s hard to pass up.

I’m liking that Blue Hurricane Lamp next to it too.

I know! That’s why I didn’t understand at first. Then I saw the pic and the brain gears clicked.

I sure couldn’t pass it up. I don’t really need it, but I’ll find a use for it!

The lamp is my wife’s, she was excited to find it.

But I look like I have drugs/cocaine/secret codes and I only spent $20-something at home depot.

Kinja'd!!!

10/10 would buy again.

I’d rather have more storage than tools.

That lamp is intriguing. Blue isn’t to common.

I found another interesting box at a different shop. I probably would’ve bought it too, if we hadn’t already spent a bunch of money. It was a homemade wooden three drawer unit, on casters, with a really nice vintage S&K box bolted to the top of that. They wanted $50.

Are you North or South? I’m always up for a good “Thrift Store” tip.

I’m in search of an old Stanley Lunch box with the matching Thermos.

Plus new tool chests are hella expensive.

Or inherit them. Dad’s first toolbox, he passed it to me about five years ago. Still rides in the trunk of my daily driver.

Thanks, it really is super heavy duty. I have at least 50lbs of tools in that sucker and it takes the weight like a champ.

Yeah, it’s easy to load these things down so they are a real workout to carry around.

I have one almost identical to that. Quality.

I bought a Snap-On/Blue Point bench grinder with Snap-On 6” grinding wheel and twisted wire wheel. $40 at a pawn shop.

He wanted $60 but we agreed on $40. I thought it was too.
