Well, for my matrix; because the 2nd gen Exige/Elise is the closest thing to a Matrix (same engine) and this 1st Gen Exige was the closest to the 2nd Gen Exige/Elise. Now to wait for the JB Weld to set.

Pretty neat! Did you put the key’s chip in here as well, or is it just for the doors?

Strangely, no chips in my key. I have a 2003 model Toyota, and my parents’ 2004 Sienna has chipkeys. So I can now unlock 1 door and start the car (the other door locks, like any used Toyota, will break and does not work)

Huh, yes, a bit strange - most cars 2000+ seem to have chipkeys, then again, my old ‘02 Impreza never did....

Awesome nonetheless! :P Doubting Matchbox/Hot Wheels/Majorette make a dinky 2009 Hyundai Accent for my key though! ;)
