A friend has a goal of developping an electric trackday toy. The video shows his first prototype for the powertrain using a go-kart as a base.

In the far future, yeah. His goal is to make a real car, à la Caterham from what I understand, but for track use mostly.
For now he’s focusing his efforts on developing the drivetrain.
