I ended up not needing a puller, I just gave it a good tug and it popped right off. The horn is a bit sensitive now and the turn signal stalk is a bit close to the wheel (its actually more comfortable to signal now). But Wow thats Sexy. Its even on straight!
Here’s what it looked like before:

“I just gave it a good tug and it popped right off.”
That's kinda terrifying.

Looks modern. I like it!
No more airbag?
![]() 08/04/2015 at 16:55 |

It really does look modern, even though that wheel was first designed by Dodge in 1968. And I never had an airbag

At first I was thinking no way that looks better than OEM. Then I saw the before picture. Not sure I would give up the airbag though.
PS: I see you have the infamous Colorado windsheild!

I never had an airbag, and yes that bottom crack. The windshield is gonna get replaced at some point

He “got” “it” “in.”

Sexy as hell! Also *giggle* at “I Got It In”. ;)
What are you doing with the old wheel?
![]() 08/04/2015 at 16:58 |

After removing the nut, presumably.

No idea what Im doing with the old wheel. I may make it into a play rig for one of my cousins, but for now its going on a shelf

Yup, lol

That’s hot. A good steering wheel can make such a such difference. it’s it the same diameter?
![]() 08/04/2015 at 17:05 |

Ya, its the same diameter.

That looks really nice! It's amazing what a difference it makes to the truck

I put the wheel back on my project car for the first time recently and after screwing the pad back on found that it wanted to serenade me with the horn. Constantly. I hope your install went a little smoother.

Ya, the horn works fine, but the new horn button is a bit easier to press. I may have to adjust the spring

ITT: More people who weren’t aware that the Ram was the only airbag-equipped pickup in ’94.

That looks approximately a million times better.

Oh... well in that case it was a no brainer. When I lived in Colorado I went thru 4 windsheild in 3 years. And that was waiting for multiple cracks before replacing.

When are we adding the blower?

nice. I went about an inch smaller. but I wanted a heavier steering feel. I miss not having power steering.

I might get inspired to deal with my scorched steering wheel leather at some point because of this. Good stuff man.
